Kindly Donate to our Future Angels and make a difference!

From time to time the Event Organiser's Network sends out a request for our members to possibly assist us in our endeavour to uplift and help the kiddies at the Future Angels Creche in Kliptown, Soweto.

This crèche was started by Mom Dolly who saw the need to assist parents to look after these children aged from 6 months to 5 years.
Mom Dolly operates from one rundown room on a very small property and the Event Organiser's Network undertakes to offer as much assistance as possible when we can.

We are sending out an appeal for anything (however small) you can assist with, food, clothing, toys etc. Every little bit will be hugely appreciated by Mom Dolly and the kiddies.

FNB Conference Facilities Launch - Unqualified Success

What a blast 220 EON members had at the FNB Conference and Event Facilities Launch held on Thursday, 13 February 2014. It was amazing to have the entire FNB Stadium to ourselves.

Members entered through the athletes tunnel to the sounds of a roaring crowd, enjoyed cocktails on the field and then took their seats in the stalls for the presentations.

The full force of the stadium sound and video boomed out the presentations, splashed across the stadium's big screens. It was at once intimidating and awe-inspiring.

Then a site inspection, not to empty spaces, but to dressed exhibition areas, decorated banquet areas and then onto the presidential suite for a meal, drinks and dancing to the cool sounds of Soul-Tone.

EON's Adopted Creche Graduation day and Xmas Party

Many thanks to those of our members who have donated goods for our Future Angels initiative, we were able to provide presents for all our little stars. Fun was also had shopping for sweeties and other goodies to fill their "Christmas Bags" with gifts.

Feeling excited, and cars fully laden, our contingent set off from the office to meet our guide at the Soweto Hotel. We knew the children were waiting excitedly for our arrival and were ready to really tug at our heartstrings, which they certainly did!

Nono, their teacher put them through their paces, counting to 50, counting in twos, and ide
ntifying the babies of many animals, such as calves, chicks, cubs etc. Also introducing themselves and each spelling their own names. Awesome!

Now, with great excitement, it was time for the graduation ceremony of those moving onto other schools next year and the seven graduates went to change into their gowns and mortar boards, just too sweet. What we did not expect was this little group coming back into the room each with a piece of paper with the words from the song "I Believe" which they were singing. That was a "tear jerking" moment.

By now the little room was crammed with Mom's, Gogo's, Brothers and Sisters to be part of the ceremony.

With music blaring each graduate was called up and had to do his/her little dance, (you can't imagine how cute this was). The beautiful graduation certificates donated by EON, were handed to each graduate by Wayne; our MD.

Okay, the "serious stuff" over, it was now time to put out the party fare so that all the children could have their cookies and cold drink. So well behaved each one sat in their places and enjoyed the goodies.

Now it was time to say good-bye to the children, Mom Dolly and her two helpers who really have done and are doing an amazing job with the bare minimum.

Please remember to contact us with any donated goods you may be able to assist with.
